Welcome to the City of Oxnard Water Division’s Community Outreach portion of the website.
Because the Water Division values the benefits of collaboration and alliance, it has established several professional partnerships and affiliations. These partners include the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water; State of California Department of Health Services; State Water Resources Control Board; State of California Department of Water Resources; Metropolitan Water District of Southern California; United Water Conservation District (UWCD); Calleguas Municipal Water District (CMWD); and Fox Canyon Groundwater Management Agency. Affiliates include the American Water Works Association (AWWA),California-Nevada Section; American Water Works Association (AWWA); Groundwater Foundation; Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA); Association of Water Agencies, Ventura County (AWAVC); WateReuse Association; Southern California Water Committee (SCWC); California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC); American Ground Water Trust (AGWT); Water Education Foundation; and the National Water Research Institute (NWRI).
The Water Division also reaches out to community service groups, businesses and schools. As an example, each year the division works with the elementary school districts in its service area to conduct its annual Student Outreach Contest and the general public to offer the Washer Rebate Program and Ultra Low-Flush Toilet Program.
Reaching out to the community and establishing industry associations has been an invaluable part of the City of Oxnard’s Community Outreach Program.
