Water-efficient toilets use only 1.28 or 1.6 gallons per flush, a savings of more than 60-75 percent every time it’s flushed. For a family of three, installing a water-efficient toilet could mean savings of more than 60 gallons per day, or 23,400 gallons of water a year! (Receive a $130 rebate on the purchase price of an 1.28 gpf water-efficienct toilet and up to $100 on the purchase price of an 1.6 gpf water-efficient toilet.)
A high-efficiency clothes washer saves you money on water, detergent, and energy. Although some high-efficiency models cost more than standard models, the savings on utility bills combined with the $300 rebate make them a better investment in the long run. Water and energy-efficient clothes washers also reduce the amount of wastewater generated. On average, a typical household will save 5,100 gallons of water (approximately $13 in water savings), between $80-100 in electricity, and $54 in detergent costs on a yearly basis. In addition, you’ll know you’re doing the environment a favor by saving water and reducing wastewater flows.

You are encouraged to respond quickly to this offer. The offer expires when rebate funds are exhausted. To obtain your rebate, you must complete the rebate form, English or Spanish, attach the original store receipt, a copy of a recent utility bill and send all three items to the City of Oxnard Water Resources Division, Attention: Water Conservation/Outreach Services, 251 South Hayes Avenue, Oxnard, CA 93030.
